I am repainting the loader for at least two reasons - one is to slow down or prevent the gradual rusting occurring, the other is to eliminate the horrific electric yellow it sported when I bought it from my neighbros and my eyesight.

I settled on a nice olive drab flat latex enamel purchased at Davey's Army Navy surplus store as both being industrially cool and also having that mellow "blend in to the background" effect.

After preliminary scraping and degreasing, a primer coat of POR-15 is applied. This dries incredibly hard and takes the top coat very well. Prior to installing my gauges while rewiring, I wire brushed, primed, and painted the instrument panel area:
