This miniscule corner of the internets is devoted to vintage Trojan front end loaders.

Mine is a 1957 Trojan Loadster model LHM-75 serial number is G 215, powered by a Hercules JX4D3 four cylinder gasoline engine. I acquired it in October of 2005. Here are the "as-is, where-is" photos from the guy who sold it to me. Here I am, using it for the first time after changing the plugs and wires and oil, and luckily getting it started. It also came with a set of forks that mount in place of the bucket!

I am removing the following "stock" equipment and "added on" junk:

antique oil filter housing and bracket
horrible original (and added on) wiring and broken gauges
horn/alarm thing
the old mechanical fuel pump (must seal mounting area though)
dumb reflective triangle on rear
red rear-facing lights
remains of beacon on roof
left side bracket that used to hold a plexiglass window and had hinges for a door

Things to redesign and install that would have been stock include:

the battery inspection hole cover
engine side covers
missing or damaged windows
working gauges (and senders) for important functions
fuel level sender/gauge of some sort (although a "dipstick" works in a pinch to give me a rough idea of the fuel level)
Knobs for hydraulic control levers

Things to "upgrade" along the way include:

All new electrical wiring and fuse box
New fuel pump bracket and shut off valve
classy new paint job
the air intake, antique oil bath filter and exhaust arrangement (partly so I can remove the engine cover to work on it)
fore and aft work lights
a new seat
the oil breather and dipstick
better lines to the aftermarket oil filter bracket
replace hydraulic hoses as they blow
replace forward/reverse transmission filter with bracket for disposable type
tire chains for some traction
repair left front corner of the bucket where it is coming apart
