This is no big deal, just something I bought at the "big" online auction site. There are several similar designs out there. They fold up when not in use, and when unfolded, there is a big metal loop that goes around the top of the tire, and a step that folds down to make engine compartment/bed access easier.
I used mine while changing the oil, and it really did help, despite not fitting the wide mud tires very well. I really have to swap on those work tires and figure out the speedometer sender issues!
