1. There is a long history of a certain class of events experienced by humans that are outside of rational attempts at explanation. 2. This class of events have not only resisted and defied scientific investigation, but have to an extent been proved impossible to analyse using its tools. 3. I think that these events are "real" and as such can be considered in a broader but still fairly rigorous manner. 7/12/00
