I am always open to new ideas.
I encounter them quite frequently (and
I develop my own with startling regularity).

I am not as hungry for, or forgiving
of, old ideas long since debunked,
disproven, and wisely discarded.

To be "open" to them would be
little more than intellectual folly.

So, do not expect me to be open
to tired, worn-out, old ideas,
cliches, or propaganda -
if I dismiss your offering
out of hand perhaps:

You should examine its provenance
and history more closely yourself.

So -

Bring me the new to explore,
bring me the tested to delight in.
Bring me your new ideas to savor,
Open up my mind with your brave
and wonderful new ideas.
