Maxwell Skelter

Even in school Max ignored the rules
Making teacher's face and class the fool
She summons him to stay and be punished
To write fifty lines of this abject rubbish
"I will not be a tool"

But she is careless, turns her back
Giving him time to prepare his attack
And then too late she turns

And bang! Bang! Maxwell Skelter splintered
A board behind her head
Bang, bang! Maxwell screaming fractured
'Til she fell limp and dead

Joan works clinical, timing on her labs
Hours up late, lonely with a glass
Max was never much for studied reading
Suggests they take a stroll this evening
"Somewhere quieter than class"

But when she thought he'd lean for a kiss
His moves betrayed this recidivist
And then too late she turned

(chorus)

Jack would be proud of his protege Max
Skelter in fog across the riverbanks
London swore never such carnage as then
Hard-working girls on the street safe again
"The mayor sends his regards"

But just a harmless walk to the shops
The pub for a pint or a night at the Pops
And then the evening turns

(chorus)

"Eyewitness testimony everyone's ignoring me
Even the constable says I should go free
The press will have a field day
Over this conspiracy - "

The evidence brought before the Court
Presented in layers with careful thought
Leaving her Honour with no doubt at all
Of Maxwell's bloody impertinent fall
"Innocence can't be bought"

Nervous about his psychopathic bent
she delivered her verdict and sentence intent
And then her judgement turned

And bang! Bang! Maxwell Skelter splintered
A board behind his head
Bang, bang! Maxwell screaming fractures
'Til he fell limp and dead

Maxwell Skelter's dead
