Miss You

A strange and heavy sadness lurks beneath this beautiful day,
and I think it is just what it feels like to be missing you...

Where is that coil of hair that catches around your ear?
Where is that funny look you make when you want me to smile?

When will I feel you reaching for my hand again?
When will I hear the bell I gave you ring for me?

When will I feel your bracelet digging in to my side once more,
telling me how much you hunger for me in your arms?

When will I see that scuffled shirt, those faded jeans, your favorite dress?
When will we continue to play with our pile of private jokes?

When will I feel you curled up close in my arms again?
What can I do to fix this feeling of incompleteness?
